Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek
You have arrived in beautiful Namibia! You will be met at the arrival gate by our friendly tour guide. A 45-minute drive takes you to the capital, Windhoek. Your guide will drop you at your accommodation to check-in and freshen up. After a quick lunch, your guide will take you on a Windhoek city and township tour. Visit points of interest such as the Tintenpalast, Christchurch, and the Reiterdenkmal.
In the evening we head out to dinner at the world-famous Joe’s Beerhouse. (Dinner at clients own expense).
Day 2: Kalahari
We depart from Windhoek after a leisurely breakfast and make our way towards the Kalahari Desert. The road takes us via the small towns of Rehoboth and Kalkrand, witness how the landscape gradually changed from mountainous to open vistas, while we head towards the south of Namibia. At sunset, we join a memorable sundowner game drive and watch the sunset while having a drink on one of the lookout points on the dunes.
Day 3: Fish River Canyon
We leave the Kalahari and continue further south towards Keetmanshoop, the capital of the South. A short excursion will take us to the Quiver tree forest and interesting Dolerite rock formations also known as Woolsack rocks. After a stop in Keetmanshoop, we depart towards the Fish River Canyon, via the Nature Dam with its Date and Vineyard plantations. Arrival at the Lodge in the afternoon.
Day 4: Fish River Canyon
After an early breakfast, we depart for your Namibia Safari Tours towards the Fish River Canyon Plateau. The best time to view the canyon is during the early morning. This is one of the most spectacular photographer’s meccas in Namibia. After a hike along the view-points, we head back to the lodge for lunch. You have the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5: Aus
We travel in a southerly direction along the Canyon towards Aussenkehr today. A quick stop-over at Aussenkehr, a large Vineyard Plantation which is located along the Orange River, bordering to South Africa. We leave behind the majestic Mountains, made of colorful and bizarre rock shapes. We pass Giant Quiver trees, Halfmens, and other indigenous plants, making our way towards Rosh Pinah, a Tin mining town. We overnight in Aus, famous for its desert-adapted horses.
Day 6: Aus
Today we head out to the abandoned mining town of Kolmanskop. We visit the old Bakery, General Dealer, Ice-factory, Butchery, and the Town Hall with its Bowling alley. After the guided tour you have ample time for some fantastic photographic opportunities!
We leave Kolmanskop and drive via Aus towards the Tiras Mountains on the edge of the Namib Desert.
Day 7: Sesriem
We leave Aus and drive towards our next destination Sesriem. The road follows the majestic Tiras Mountains in the east and the great Namib Desert Sea of sand in the west. See Oryx, Springbuck, and Ostrich dot the plains en-route. From Betta, we head towards the Duwisib Castle. This used to be the dwelling of Baron Hansheinrich von Wolf and was built in 1908 / 1909, for him and his wife Jayta, who started farming here in 1907. From Duwisib we travel via the Tsaris pass towards Sesriem.
Day 8: Sossusvlei
Today we rise early and head to Sossusvlei for your Namibia Safari Tours, located in the heart of the Namib Desert Dunes. Get to experience the changing colors over the towering dunes. On arrival at the Vlei, you have the opportunity to scale one of the higher dunes for a panoramic view of the dunes. We also head to the Dead Vlei. After a late breakfast in the dunes, we drive back to Sesriem where we hike into the 9 meters wide and 30 meters deep Canyon. We return to our Lodge, having the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Day 9: Swakopmund
We depart Sossusvlei via Solitaire, re-known for its Apple strudel pie which we will sample. The journey continuous via the Gaub Canyon towards the scenic Kuiseb Canyon for a photo stop. We head through the Namib Naukluft Park and over the Valley of the Moon, which hosts the age-old Welwitschia plants. Our next destination is Swakopmund, Namibia’s most visited holiday resort.
Day 10: Swakopmund
You have the day at leisure but Swakopmund is the adventure capital of Namibia, so young and old can find; and we can plan, the perfect day excursion in and around town. Join a catamaran dolphin cruise, sky diving, dune boarding or a scenic flight over the Skeleton Coast. There is much to do!
Day 13: Return to Windhoek
We say goodbye to the sleepy Swakopmund and make our way back to Windhoek. We will be taking the longer, scenic route through the Khomashochland. As soon as we reach the capital, some last-minute souvenir shopping is possible. The transfer to the airport will leave later in the afternoon.
