9 Day Luxury Tanzania And Zanzibar Honeymoon Safaris Itinerary.

Honeymoon in Tanzania is truly unique experience. On this 9 days Honeymoon Safari you will enjoy the luxury Northern Circuit holiday, staying in most prestige safari lodges and permanent camp, listening to the sounds of nature, having romantic dinners with the magnificent vistas and much more. We will make sure that this very special voyage of yours truly remains unforgettable. After that, you will fly to Zanzibar where you will relax at an all-inclusive hotel on the north east coast of Zanzibar.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters for domestic flights, you will be met by African Big Cats Safaris representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. overnight will be at the Arusha Melia Safari Lodge a Calm lodge located in the suburbs of the city with a natural set up with beautiful garden awaiting for your safari the following day.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

After your breakfast, and then we drive to Lake Manyara National Park for your Tanzania honeymoon Safaris. This impressive National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley Western escarpment. The Park varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of Elephants; Manyara is famous for a Tree-climbing lion, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Dinner and overnight at the Kitela Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at the Hotel, your Tanzania safaris adventure begins, leaving early to the Tarangire National park around 8:30 am. This is the third largest park in Tanzania and it is characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered in this park. The Baobab trees are one of the other highlights of Tarangire and the Tarangire River that flows all year round is the lifeblood of the park. Many animals; predators and the preys alike gather around the river where you can do excellent game viewing. Dinner & Overnight is at Kitela Lodge.

Day 4: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater

After a relaxing morning and an early breakfast at the lodge, you will have an early in the en-route game drive into Ngorongoro crater top destination where you can spot the Big5 if you are lucky enough. Proceed directly to the crater floor for your tour with a picnic lunch down the crater whereby you will be able to see all the “Big Five”.
Later, you will proceed back to Ngorongoro Serena lodge  or Ngorongoro Melia Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will start your Tanzania safaris head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.

We head to the Central Park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch at Nabi gate and enjoy the late 2hrs afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight Kubu kubu tented lodge.

Day 6 : Serengeti game drive

After breakfast, you will have a Northern Tanzania Safari game viewing at Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti, Tanzania’s largest National Park, covers nearly 6,000 square miles of grassland plains. Central Serengeti’s Seronera Valley is a year-round game-viewing.

With Savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and River line forest systems serve as critical water sources. It’s often an excellent site for wildlife viewing. Beyond the heralded migration of wildebeest and zebra, the Serengeti is best known for its big predators, including cheetah and Leopard, as well as large pride of Lions and clans of Hyenas and many animals, dinner and overnight at Kubu kubu tented lodge.

Day 7: Serengeti to Zanzibar

After a relaxing morning and an early lunch, you will have an early in the morning game drive in Serengeti National park for your later transfer to the Seronera airstrip( airport), to your next destination Zanzibar for your beach holidays. Zanzibar Gran MeliaHotel.

14 Day Tanzania Big Cats Safari Itinerary.

The Serengeti is one of the most prominent parks in Africa and is synonymous with classic African scenery and wildlife. This is arguably the finest national park in the whole of Africa with a wealth of wildlife viewing opportunities. You will be able to regularly see virtually every large animal in East Africa. It is also the place to be if you want to see the spectacular wildebeest migration, making the Serengeti one of the best African safari destinations.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters for domestic flights, you will be met by African Big Cats Safaris representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. overnight will be at the Ilboru Arusha Safari Lodge a Calm lodge located in the suburbs of the city with a natural set up with beautiful garden awaiting for your safari the following day.

Day 2: Arusha National Park + Walking Safari

After breakfast drive to Arusha National Park for game viewing drives and an escorted game walks accompanied by an armed game ranger. A green jewel and home to the fourth highest mountain in Africa – Mount Meru (4,566 m). Anyone visiting this park will be thrilled by the breath-taking landscapes ranging from the Meru Crater in the west, the Ngurdoto Crater in the south-east to the grasslands, and of course the alkaline Momella Lakes in the north-east. Buffalos, Zebras, Elephants can be spotted. The Ngurdoto Crater and also called “Little Ngorongoro” with its rich, swampy caldera and its steep crater walls. A packed lunch will served at a picnic site, there after drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Ilboru Safari Lodge.

Day 3-4 : Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Early morning after breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet! dinner and overnight at Lake Burunge Tented Lodge.

Day 5 : Mto Wa Mbu Walking Around Lake Manyara

After drive to the small village of Mto wa Mbu located beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment for a guided cultural tour of the village visiting the Banana farms and the rice irrigation farms. Visitors may see Chagga people from the slopes of the Kilimanjaro brew their famous banana beer, mbege, and learn why out of more than 30 varieties of bananas cultivated here only two species are suitable for producing the drink; a farmer from Kigoma extract palm oil from palm trees that he brought from the shores of Lake Tanganyika; appreciate the Sandawe with their fascinating click language, similar to the Khoisan of the Kalahari Desert, making bows & arrows for hunting; interact with the Rangi from Kondoa using the papyrus from the lakes and rivers for weaving beautiful mats and baskets. After lunch drive to Lake Eyasi for dinner and overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.

Day 6 : Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe tribe) visit

Early morning depart on a guided cultural tour of the Hadzabe tribe’s location at Lake Eyasi and get knowledge and experience their way of life. You may want to join hadzabe bushmen on a hunting demonstration by these proud people who mostly live on hunting and gathering wild fruits and roots. Return to your lodge for a brunch. Afternoon visit Lake Eyasi. Dinner and overnight at Lake Eyasi Lodge.

Day 7 : Elephant Caves + Endoro falls in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Early in the morning after breakfast, we depart for Karatu whereby you will get a chance to do the walking activity. You will start this two-hour walking safari through the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Visit the waterfalls and the incredible elephant caves, created by elephants digging through dense rock with their tusks to ingest the vitamin-rich soil. You will choose to have a picnic lunch or drive straight to your accommodation for a hot lunch where you will relax at the lodge and later on prepare for an evening coffee walk. After having the activity done you will depart to your accommodation for a dinner and overnight stay at Kitela Safari Lodge.

Day 8-10 : Serengeti National Park

Serengeti Big Cats Safaris: Early morning after breakfast drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and on to Serengeti National Park with game viewing drive en-route. A UNESCO’s World Heritage site and a biosphere reserve since 1981. Serengeti is one of the oldest and the largest best National Park in Africa. Serengeti is one of the most famous wildlife areas in the world with the greatest concentration of wild animals on the planet! This world-renowned Park is a sanctuary for the last remaining annual mammal migration in the world. With almost 15.000 km2 (6,000 sq. miles), Serengeti National Park is the second-largest park in Tanzania. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Kubu kubu Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 11: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Serengeti Big Cats Safaris: After an early breakfast drive out of the Serengeti with game viewing drive en-route with an option to visit the Olduvai Gorge where it is believed the remains of early man was discovered by the Leakey’s. Olduvai Gorge is arguably the most important fossil sites in the world. Over thirty miles long and about three-hundred feet deep, the gorge is part of a World Heritage Site called the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. During the months of December to March, one can have good views of the annual wildebeest migration who gather in the short plains of the Ndutu area for grazing. February to mid-march is the calving season. After a packed lunch continue drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge.

Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu

Serengeti Big Cats Safaris: After an early breakfast, you will descend the crater which is almost 600m deep.
It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor. Quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best chance for spotting the endangered black rhino and prides of lions, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands. After Lunch and an extensive game drive inside the crater, we head for our comfort partner lodges in Karatu for dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 13 : Karatu to Arusha (Africa Amini Life) Original Maasai Lodge

Early morning after breakfast, we depart for Arusha whereby you will get a chance to visit one of the Maasai villages located at Ngare Nanyuki Arusha. At this lodge, you will experience the life of the Maasai people and the activities they do.
The activities include a spear-throwing competition against the Maasai, a Nature walk with the Maasai, visiting a women’s workshop, and a Donkey ride with the Maasai. Lunch will be offered as a hot lunch and a choice of local food so that you experience the taste of Local African food. After spending a day in the community, you will head to your room for dinner and an overnight stay at Africa Amini Lodge.

Day 14: Onwards Travel

Breakfast and lunch before you depart to the airport where you will catch your flight back home or a flight to Zanzibar according to your flight departure time.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater back to Arusha

Today, you will have early breakfast and proceed directly to the crater floor for a five-to-six-hour crater tour with a picnic lunch down the crater whereby you will be able to see all the “Big Five” during your 7 Days Tanzania Luxury Safari . Later, you will proceed back to Arusha in the evening overnight at Gran Melia Hotel Arusha.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast in the hotel/lodge, we will transfer you to the airport either at Kilimanjaro/ Arusha airport. This will be the end of your tour and safari with us.

3 Day African Classic Safari Itinerary.

Experience the essence of Tanzania with our 3-day classic safari adventure. Day one takes you to Tarangire National Park, where you’ll witness herds of elephants, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife against the backdrop of stunning landscapes.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire

After early breakfast, start your Tanzania Classic Safari Tours for a full day game drive at Tarangire National Park with picnic lunches, and overnight at Hotel. It is the national park which herds of up to 300 elephants scrape the waterless river bed for alternative streams, while nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland mass the decrease lagoons.

It is the most attentiveness of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem – a smorgasbord for predators and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared Oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly practical. Day 2: Masai Village

After Breakfast Departure from the Hotel with lunch box together with guide and drive to Monduli Juu is a collection of four small Masai villages namely Emairete, Enguiki, Eluwai, and Mfereji.

Emairete comprises of a wonderful crater where, in former times, the cattle of only medicine men were supposed to graze. Enguiki village is named after its famous pastures.

Eluwai is a village called after the trees where certain small ants have their habitat and that are whistling in the wind. Mfereji is a village down the escarpment that, a long time ago, develop from a place where a South African lived who pulled a ditch down to bring water from the Monduli Mountains.

Climbing trip through the evergreen rain forest where you will experience the trees, the birds and other animals of that habitat.

Day 3 Arusha to Kilimanjaro, MANDARA HUT

At the first day, you have to drive about 2hrs through Kilimanjaro in the morning the semi-tropical foothills to Marangu area which situated on the south-eastern side of the mountain. As you drive, there is usually some admirable view of the snow-capped peak of the mountain. On arrival at Marangu gate, you meet your team of guides and porters, pick up any last-minute supplies for the trek, and head to the entrance of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park to register for the climb.

From the cluster of buildings at the gate, it is some four to five hours walk through patches of coffee plantation and dense rain forest to Mandara Hut. The forest teems with brightly-colored bird life, colobus and other varieties of monkey. The flora includes numerous mosses, lichens, and flowers, as well as delicate orchids. If the skies are clear you may have fine views over the town of Moshi lying at the boundary of the plain far underneath. Mandara Hut is a collection of basic, A-frame mountain huts with bunk beds – quite adequate for your needs – where you inevitably meet up with fellow trekkers who are bent on the same goal.

Late in the evening back to Arusha, Overnight stay at Hotel/ lodge

Day 4: Transfer to Airport (Arusha/Kilimanjaro airport

After breakfast in the hotel, we will transfer you to take the flight back home this will be the end of your Tanzania Classic Safari with us.

Day 1: Transport from Kilimanjaro airport to the hotel in Arusha

Upon arrive in Tanzania you will meet with our company represent transfer you with private car to hotel in Arusha. You will meet with our safari manager to give you the safari brief, after then you will continuous with your rest at the hotel waiting for your safari adventure in next day Venice Hotel, Mount Meru Hotel or Arusha Melia. 

Day 2: Arusha lake Manyara

After breakfast, our driver will pick you up and depart to the Lake Manyara national park for your Northern Tanzania Safari game drive. This national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Day 3: Lake Manyara – Lake Natron

Day 4: Natron – Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning exploring the Lake Natron. After explore the Lake you will depart to Serengeti National Park descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.

Head to the Central Park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy a 2hrs late evening game drive in the Serengeti National Park. dinner and overnight at campsite or lodge.

Day 5 – 6 : National Park Serengeti game drive

Day 9. Lake Eyasi Hadzabe to Arusha

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha, Tanzania

Our Representative will be at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Meet and greet by your safari driver guides and transfer to Arusha for overnight at  Gran Melia Hotel

Day 2: Arusha National Park

In the morning, we will collect you at Mount Meru Game Lodge and take you to the Arusha National Park. The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Hollywood also chose this region to film the movie “Hatari” in which Hardy Kruger starred alongside the legendary John Wayne. Your day trip will include a visit to the Ngurudoto Crater.

Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras and baboons can be seen all year round as well as many different bird species. At the Momella Gate, an armed ranger will be waiting for you to accompany you on your walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close.

Only a few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed. Lunch will be taken at a picnic place and in the afternoon, you will continue your tour in the safari vehicle through the Arusha National Park.

Day 3 & 4: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After a leisurely breakfast your safari adventure begins. We drive to Tarangire National Park – home of the highest population of elephants, pride of lions, and over 400 species of birds. During the dry season, Tarangire is home to huge herds of buffalo and is inundated with zebra and wildebeest. There are long vistas and a baobab studded landscape that is the perfect backdrop for taking photos.

These three days will be spent unearthing the many yet to be discovered nooks and crannies of the park. Each day, we’ll find a new place in the great outdoors to have a relaxing lunch and then continue our game drive until the African sun begins to wane.

Accommodation: Tarangire Oliver’s Camp – a peaceful and rustic retreat where wildlife is only a breath away.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast, we drive to the beautiful and intimate Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game viewing. The park is famous for its magnificent array of bird life and its impressively large elephant population.

Soda Lake, located on the floor of the Rift Valley and next to a strikingly dramatic escarpment, attracts the breathtakingly elegant and delicate flamingos and pelicans, as well as countless species of hornbills, kingfishers, and the eye-catchingly peculiar hamerkop.

The park is also home to olive baboon, vervet monkey, giraffe, hippo, African buffalo, impala, and pride of lions. The varied and diverse ecosystems within the park make for a unique experience. In the evening we climb the escarpment to the town of Karatu for your overnight.

Day 6: Lake Manyara – Lake Eyasi

Early morning breakfast depart for Lake Eyasi to meet up the elusive Hadzabe tribe, whom you learn more about their fascinating culture. Picnic lunch then we go for Dagota Village tour.

Day 7: Full Day Hadzabe in Lake Eyasi

Start off early with your bushman guide to meet a group of resident Hadzabe people. Enjoy the Hadzabe Tour walking into the bush with the only hunter-gatherers remaining in the East African region.

The Hadzabe speak a click-based language and move their encampments with the seasonal movements of the wildlife. Your guide is a member of the group so he will explain to you about their customs and their way of life. You will get a chance to hunt, track wildlife, make fire and even take honey from bee’s nests with the Hadzabe people. Return to the camp for lunch then afternoon proceed with the activity.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Today you’ll have an all-day excursion to the World Heritage Site – Ngorongoro Crater – for game viewing on the crater floor. The crater is the home of the largest African mammals. Here is one of the few remaining places where it is possible to encounter the highly endangered black Rhinos.

It is also possible to see elephants (mostly lone or “bachelor” bulls), pride of lions, hippos, a resident herd of wildebeest, zebra, various gazelles, and buffalo. We will have lunch at the water’s edge, and then we’ll ascend back to the crater rim seeing more game along the way. Our day ends with a soothing shower, dinner, and relaxing.

Day 9: Olduvai Gorge to Serengeti National Park

We make our way to the Central Serengeti Plains with a stop for a culturally-enriching tour of the museum at Olduvai Gorge.

The gorge is the site of years of tireless research into the anthropology of early man by the famous Leakey family and prominent universities.

The museum is situated on the site of archaeological digs taking place throughout this, and the last, century. The site was made famous by the Leakey’s and some of the amazing hominid finds such as Australopithecus bosei or “Nutcracker Man” (because of his very large teeth and jaws) and Homo habilis (a hominid named for his handy abilities with tools found around the site).

We then trek onwards to the Serengeti National Park, game driving and stopping for a picnic along the way. We arrive at our camp in the Seronera area in time for a shower before dinner.

Day 10 – 13: Full days to see the migration crossing Mara River

These days are devoted to full game drives with many opportunities to get that “perfect shot” with your camera. The Serengeti is one of the most stunning wildlife sanctuaries in the world.

The name comes from the Maasai word “siri nget” meaning “endless plains”. The wildebeest migration continues moving northwards during July and August, often spreading out across a broad front: some heading through Grumeti Reserve and Ikorongo, others north through the heart of the Serengeti National Park.

Day 14: We have come to the end of our safari

Machame Route – Six Day Full Tour Itinerary

Day 0: Pre-trek Briefing

If you have opted for the optional airport transfers, we will pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha airport and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi.

Pre-trek briefing at your Arusha hotel. You should be planning to arrive atleast one day before the start of the trek. Today we will spend in having a pre-trek briefing. We will also review your equipment and rent any equipment which is needed. To ensure a higher success rate it is best to take your time. The 7-day itinerary has an average summit success rate of 85%. For the 6-day itinerary success rate drops to 75% on average

Day 1: Hotel to Machame Camp

Drive from Arusha to Machame Gate takes about 2hrs. The journey passes through the village of Machame which is located on the lower slopes of the mountain.

We depart the park gate and walk through the rain forest on a winding trail up a ridge. At lower elevations the trail can be muddy and slippery. Gaiters and trekking poles are a good idea here. We continue a short distance until we reach the Machame Camp.

Hiking Time: 5-6 hours
Habitat: Montane Forest
Meals: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

After breakfast we leave the glades of the rain forest and continue on an ascending path, crossing the valley along a steep rocky ridge. The route now turns west onto a river gorge until we arrive at the Shira campsite.

  • Elevation: 3050m/9950ft to 3850m/12,600ft
  • Distance: 5km/3mi
  • Walking Time: 4-5 hours
  • Habitat: Moorland
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 3: Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

From the Shira Plateau we continue to the east up a ridge, passing the junction towards the peak of Kibo. As we continue, our direction changes to the South East towards the Lava Tower, called the “Shark’s Tooth” (elev 4650m/15,250ft). Shortly after the tower we come to the second junction which goes to the Arrow Glacier. We now continue down to the Barranco Camp. Although you end the day around the same elevation as when you began, this day is very important for acclimatization and will help your body prepare for summit day.

  • Walking Time: 5-6 hours
  • Habitat: Semi-desert
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 4: Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

After breakfast, we leave Barranco and continue on a steep ridge up the Barranco Wall (elev 4250m/13,900ft), through the Karanga Valley (elev 4050m/13,250ft) to the junction which connects with the Mweka Trail. We continue up to the Barafu Camp. You have completed the South Circuit, which offers views of the summit from many different angles. Here we make camp with views of the summit in the distance.

  • Distance: 9km/6mi
  • Hiking Time: 6-8 hours
  • Habitat: Alpine Desert
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 5: Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp

Very early in the morning (midnight to 2 am), we continue our way to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. You head in a northwesterly direction and ascend through heavy scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek. At Stella Point you will stop for a short rest and will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see. Faster hikers may view the sunrise from the summit.

From Stella Point, you may encounter snow all the way on your 1-hour ascent to the summit. Once at Uhuru Peak you have reached the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa!

From the summit we begin our descent by continuing straight down to the Mweka Camp, stopping at Barafu for lunch. You may want gaiters and trekking poles for the loose gravel going down. We arrive at Mweka Camp and enjoy our last evening on the mountain.

  • Distance: 5km/3mi up / 13km/8mi down
  • Hiking Time: 5-7 hours up / 5-6 hours down

Day 6: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Hotel

After breakfast we continue the descent down to the Mweka Park Gate to receive your summit certificates. At lower elevations, it can be wet and muddy. Gaiters and trekking poles will help. Shorts and t-shirts will probably be plenty to wear (keep rain gear and warmer clothing handy).

Our vehicle will be waiting for you at Mweka gate to drive you back to your hotel in Arusha (around 2hrs).

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by a representative from your chosen safari company who will transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha.

After checking in and freshening up, you can rest and relax at the lodge or explore the town of Arusha if you arrive early in the day.  In the evening, you’ll have a briefing with your safari guide to go over the itinerary and answer any questions you may have. Overnight stay at a lodge in Arusha.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, depart from Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a 2-hour drive. Tarangire is known for its large concentration of elephants, especially during the dry season when herds gather around the Tarangire River.

Enjoy a full-day game drive in the park, with a packed lunch provided by your lodge or guide. Spot wildlife such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. Return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay near Tarangire.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, which is about a 2-hour drive from Tarangire. Lake Manyara is renowned for its diverse birdlife, including flamingos, pelicans, storks, and more.

Enjoy a morning game drive in the park, where you might also spot tree-climbing lions. After the game drive, head to your accommodation for lunch and some relaxation.

In the afternoon, you have the option of visiting a nearby Maasai village to experience their culture and way of life (additional cost). Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge or tented camp near Lake Manyara.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, approximately a 3-hour drive. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural amphitheater and one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations.

Enjoy a full-day game drive inside the crater, which is home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard) and an abundance of other animals.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot within the crater. In the late afternoon, ascend to the crater rim for dinner and overnight stay at a lodge or tented camp.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (Seronera Valley)

After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey can take about 4-6 hours, but the scenic views along the way are worth it. Enter the Serengeti through the Naabi Hill Gate and enjoy a game drive en route to your accommodation in the Seronera region, located in the heart of the park.

The Seronera Valley is famous for its abundant wildlife and is an excellent spot for spotting predators like lions and leopards. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge or tented camp in the Seronera area.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)

Embark on a full-day game drive in the Serengeti, exploring different areas of the park. The Serengeti’s diverse landscapes, from open savannahs to acacia woodlands, support a wide variety of wildlife.

Depending on the time of year, you may have the chance to witness the great wildebeest migration, one of the most incredible wildlife spectacles on the planet.

Return to your lodge or tented camp in the Seronera region for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park to Arusha

Enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, making the most of your last moments in this stunning national park. After breakfast, begin your journey back to Arusha with a game drive en route.

If you’re interested, you can visit the Olduvai Gorge archaeological site, known as the “Cradle of Mankind,” where significant discoveries of early human fossils were made (additional cost).

Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening and check into your lodge for a well-deserved rest. You may have time for some last-minute shopping or relaxation at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge in Arusha.

Day 8: Departure

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time in Arusha in the morning. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge and perhaps purchase some souvenirs or gifts from local markets.
Drop you off to  Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
