Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by one of our picks up drivers to transfer you to the hotel in Arusha/Moshi. Our Safari manager will meet you for your briefly ready to embark on your lifetime adventure!
After an early breakfast, with a picnic lunch in hand, you will drive to Tarangire National Park to witness the famous African elephant population. Here you will have the unique experience of viewing nature combined with the original way of life of the Maasai. Tarangire offers unparalleled game sightings. During the dry season herds of elephant abound. Families of these pachyderms play around the ancient trunks of the baobab trees and strip acacia bark from the thorn trees for their afternoon meal. You will see breath-taking views of the Maasai Steppe and the mountains to the South make a stop at Tarangire a memorable experience. Later in the evening, you will return for dinner and your overnight stays at Kitela Lodge.
After an early breakfast, you will check-out and take off for an exciting game drive in Tarangire National Park. On this safari, you will have the chance to see many herds of elephant, and also other wildlife life such as buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, mango, lion, and 500 species of bird. With your lunch packed to enjoy along the drive, you will head to Karatu. You will arrive in the evening where you will check-in, have dinner, and turn in for the night at the Maramboi Tented lodge.
After breakfast you will drive southwest, arriving at the Northern Shore of Lake Eyasi. The drive will continue to the Yaida Valley to a place barely visited by tourists. These bushmen are nomadic by nature and are the last existing East African hunters and gatherers and still live in the ways of their ancestors. You may participate in local hunting, see the way poison arrows are made, experience how to make a fire, or learn about the types of trees used for that purpose. You can learn how to collects honey, learn different types of local medicine used to treat different diseases and many more just to mention a few. Later in the evening, you will back to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, you will check-out, with your picnic lunch in hand, and drive from Lake Eyasi to the famous Serengeti National Park; enjoying an exciting game drive along the way. On the drive you will have a chance to see the “Big Five” and the annual migration of wildebeest; depending on the season you are traveling. Since you will have more time in Serengeti you can follow Migration if it’s not far from central Serengeti. In the evening you will take part in a game drive back to Katikati Tented lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will embark on an early morning game drive with a picnic lunch to enjoy in the afternoon. On the drive, you will have the chance to see lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and many other wild animals including hippo, zebra, wildebeest, cheetah, hyena, Thomson gazelle, just to mention a few. The wild paradise of the Seronera area will provide you with a chance to see thousands of wild animals and also the annual migration of wildebeest; depending on the season. There is also an evening game drive offered in the famous Serengeti National Park. Later drive you back to Katikati Tented lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 & 8 – Northern Serengeti National Park
Discover Serengeti National Park during the Great Migration, I definitely recommend making your way to the northern part of the park. The drive is really long but once you reach the Mara River, you will not regret it! After driving through woodlands and vast open savannah plains, all rather dry in August, North Serengeti is refreshingly green and lush.
Drive on the main road all the way to the Bologonya gate, then take the small seasonal paths toward the West and the Mara River. Make sure to leave very early from Central Serengeti to reach your lodge or camp end of the afternoon, and enjoy a beautiful sunset with a well-deserved beer!
Day 9: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After early in morning breakfast you will have early in the morning Tanzania Northern Circuit Safaris game drive later you will back to the campsite to have an early hot lunch, our driver and chef will load everything on top of our safari jeep and you will continue with game viewing en-route during your way from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater. You will be in Ngorongoro Crater late in the evening where the night will be spent on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight will be at Ngorongoro Rhino lodge/ Wildlife.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara
This day we will start early morning at 07:00 for the game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater for 5-6hrs. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. After great all exploration in Ngorongoro Crater, we will drive to Kitela Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Lake Manyara to Arusha
After breakfast the journey to Lake Manyara for your Tanzania Northern Circuit Safaris. On the lakeshore, you can also observe elephants, hippopotami, buffalos, guenons, banded mongooses, and numerous types of gazelles and antelopes. Furthermore, the park is well known for its tree-climbing lions. Visitors can regularly observe lions taking a nap in the tree canopies or escaping from the heat on the ground. After watching the animals and exploring the national park, you leave the park in the afternoon and travel to the Arusha and Dinner and Overnight at Hotel/lodge.
Day 12: Arusha National park | Best Safari in Tanzania
Depart Arusha in the morning with your private guide and travel to Arusha National Park, a short 40-minute drive from Arusha town.
The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Hollywood also chose this region to film the movie “Hartari” in which Hardy Kruger starred alongside the legendary John Wayne. Your day trip includes a visit to the Ngurdoto Crater, affectionately known as the “Little Ngorongoro”. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, and zebras can all be seen year-round as well as many different bird species. Only a few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed.
Later proceed back to Arusha in the evening. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel/lodge.
Day 13: Arusha to Kilimanjaro, Mandara hut
On the first day, you have to drive about 2 hrs through Kilimanjaro in the morning the semi-tropical foothills to the Marangu area which situated on the south-eastern side of the mountain. As you drive, there is usually some admirable view of the snow-capped peak of the mountain. On arrival at Marangu gate, you meet your team of guides and porters, pick up any last-minute supplies for the trek, and head to the entrance of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park to register for the climb. From the cluster of buildings at the gate, it is some four to five hours walk through patches of coffee plantation and dense rainforest to Mandara Hut.
Day 14 Monduli Juu Masai Tours
Monduli Juu comprises four small villages along the Monduli Mountains, northwest of Arusha in Maasai country. You can visit traditional doctors, see a school, or eat a meaty meal in a bush. Many people come to trek along the escarpment for views over the Rift Valley plains.
Most activities begin in Emairete village, Enguiki, Eluwai, and Mfereji. where there are several simple spots to camp and some Maasai bomas that take overnight guests.
Emairete comprises of a wonderful crater where, in former times, the cattle of only medicine men were supposed to graze. Enguiki village is named after its famous pastures.
Eluwai is a village called after the trees where certain small ants have their habitat and that are whistling in the wind. Mfereji is a village down the escarpment that, a long time ago, develop from a place where a South African lived who pulled a ditch down to bring water from the Monduli Mountains
