10 Day Tanzania Student Safari Itinerary
Foot Slopes Tours and Safaris boasts a long experience of over ten years in handling school programs in Tanzania. This experience has built high degree of confidence in handling young people and making sure they learn while at the same time enjoying their trips. One of the outstanding school programs that RA Safaris organizes is outlined below and it covers a seven nights’ stay at a local school, four days mount Meru trek, and three days safari to the Ngorongoro, Olduvai Gorge and Lake Manyara National Park.
Day 1: Arrival at Arusha | Students’ Adventure Safaris in Tanzania
Depart from the airport on arrival and transfer you to the hotel for overnight stay and relaxation.
Day 2: Moduli Juu- Masai Village & Cultural Visit
After Breakfast Departure from the Hotel with lunch box together with guide and drive to Monduli Juu is a collection of four small Masai villages namely Emairete, Enguiki, Eluwai, and Mfereji.
Emairete comprises of a wonderful crater where, in former times, the cattle of only medicine men were supposed to graze. Enguiki village is named after its famous pastures.
Eluwai is a village called after the trees where certain small ants have their habitat and that are whistling in the wind. Mfereji is a village down the escarpment that, a long time ago, develop from a place where a South African lived who pulled a ditch down to bring water from the Monduli Mountains.
This is what you can experience on this walking tour:
A climbing trip through the evergreen rain forest where you will experience the trees, the birds and other animals of that habitat.
A medical trip where you will feel and smell different medicinal herbs and visit a Masai traditional healer.
A warm welcome in Naramatu: a small ‘factory’ where Masai jewels are made.
Traditional ‘nyamachoma’ with our Masai warriors in ‘Orpul’ where you will taste the meat yourself.
A rest at astonishing panorama overlooking the Rift valley, Oldonyolengai, Lake Natron.

Day 3: Arusha National park (Walking Safari in Tanzania + Game Drive)
Visit Arusha National Park for an excursion that packs the full safari experience into a single day. With a wide range of ecosystems within the park boundaries, Arusha National Park offers a great opportunity to spot diverse wildlife in limited time, and the tour includes convenient door-to-door transport from Arusha, entrance fees, and lunch. Day 4: Arusha – Lake Manyara National park
Drive to Manyara National Park after breakfast, famed for tree climbing lions with picnic lunch, dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara hotel.
Located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park offers varied ecosystems, incredible birdlife, and breathtaking views. Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions are another reason to pay this park a visit. In addition to the lions, the national park is also home to the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world — a fact that makes for interesting game viewing of large families of the primates. Dinner and Overnight at Kitela lodge.
Day 5: Lake Manyara – Lake Eyasi
Drive to Lake Eyasi After breakfast, with picnic lunch. In some ways similar to the Amish, a handful of tribes in Tanzania have resisted modernization and for the most part, remain traditional. Hadzabe: Near Lake Eyasi, the Hadzabe are a small tribe who remain hunters and gatherers and speak a click language. It is important to visit them and learn about their culture, they will show you how to make a fire without matches and take you on a hunt with bows and arrows. Dinner and overnight at Tindiga Tented Camp.
Day 6: Lake Eyasi Serengeti National park
After breakfast, we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the Central Park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp./ Kubu Kubu Tented lodge.
Day 7 – Serengeti National park
Student Safari Tanzania spends a full day exploring the park in search of the Big -5. Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometers of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game ParkIt is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June.
Join us to explore the different forms of vegetation and landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem and meet some of their most fascinating inhabitants. Dinner and overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp./ Kubu Kubu Tented lodge.
Day 8 – Serengeti National park- Ngorongoro crater
After a relaxing morning and an early lunch, you will proceed to Ngorongoro. Today, you will be doing a game viewing en-route during your way from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater. You will be in Ngorongoro Crater late in the evening where the night will be spent on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino lodge.
Day 9 – Ngorongoro crater – Karatu
After breakfast, we depart for the descend down the crater for the 5-6hrs game drive. In the crater, you can able to view the big5. See buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and many more species, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Great Rift Wall. After game drive in Ngorongoro crater, our driver will take back to Karatu walking + biking safari-late back to the lodge where you will have dinner and overnight at the lodge/. Dinner and Overnight at Kitela lodge.
Day 10: Tarangire National park Arusha
After early breakfast, proceed for a game drive at Tarangire National Park with picnic lunches. Its the national park which herds of up to 300 elephants scrape. The waterless river bed for alternative streams, while nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland mass the decrease lagoons. Experience morning game drives then return to the picnic site for lunch. Exit the park and drive to Arusha –then drop off at Kilimanjaro airport to board your flight back home. or Overnight in the ilboru lodge next day transfer you to Airport flight back home.
