Tarangire National Park has of up to 300 elephants, nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland mass the lagoons. It’s the most attractive wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, a smorgasbord for predators.
Tarangire National Park is one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope. The stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly practical. Tarangire National Park is the only national park that holds the migrant during the dry season and welcoming home of different species of animal.

Day 1: Arrival in African
12 Days Tanzania Safari for Seniors | What to Expect in an African Safari. Picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to the hotel. You will meet your Safari manager and driver-guide who will brief you on your upcoming Safari in Africa. Take a hotel rest until the next day morning BB included.
Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you to drive you to the Lake Manyara National Park for an African Safari game drive. The park runs along the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of tropical forests with a large concentration of wild animals. The park is famous from December to March due to a big number of pink flamingos that residence here. In this park, you can also witness animals like lions most on the trees, elephants, giraffes, Zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, eland, leopard, baboon, monkeys and so many other animals as well as bird’s life. We will eat lunch at a picnic site located inside the park near the lakeshore. Dinner and overnight at Lodge or Campsite.
Day 3: Lake Manyara to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, we head towards the Serengeti National Park. Drive via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. dinner and overnight at Lodge or campsite.
Day 4: Serengeti Game Drive
After breakfast, continues with both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. Remember this is the migration safari, so as Serengeti is very large as your game drives will depend on the move of the migrants, your guide knows very well how to locate the herds. The Serengeti National Park is famous for the ‘Great Migration’, over one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand plus zebras each year follow the rains. In October and November, they travel from the mountains of the north, southwards to the plains seeking lush pastures. After the great rainy season in April, May, and June the herds then make their return ward journey. Even without this mass migration, the Serengeti is still an exciting and spectacular place that still cannot fail to enthrall Dinner and overnight at Lodge or campsite.
Day 5 & 6 : Serengeti Full Day
After breakfast continues with game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit. It’s looped into the plains south of the Seronera River. The rive is good for possible Lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. In the afternoon we will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the center in the shade of the giant acacia trees. Then we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes. Usually attracts several lions and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems. It’s providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons. Dinner and overnight at the campsite or lodge.
Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After early in morning breakfast you will have early in the morning Tanzania Northern Circuit Safaris game drive later you will back to the campsite to have an early hot lunch, our driver and chef will load everything on top of our safari jeep and you will continue with game viewing en-route during your way from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater. You will be in Ngorongoro Crater late in the evening where the night will be spent on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight will be at Ngorongoro. dinner and overnight at lodge or Campsite.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire
This day we will start early morning at 07:00 for the game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater for 5-6hrs. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. After great all exploration in Ngorongoro Crater, we will drive to Fanaka campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at the lodge/hotel, you leave early to the Tarangire National park for your Northern Tanzania Safari Tours. This is the third largest park in Tanzania and it is characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered in this park. The Baobab trees are one of the other highlights of Tarangire and the Tarangire River that flows all year round is the lifeblood of the park. Many animals; predators and the preys alike gather around the river where you can do excellent game viewing after game evening drive you back Arusha for dinner and the overnight hotel we booked for you!
Day 10: Arusha National park
Depart Arusha in the morning with your private guide and travel to Arusha National Park, a short 40-minute drive from Arusha town for the best Tanzania Safari for Seniors.
Your day trip includes a visit to the Ngurdoto Crater, affectionately known as the “Little Ngorongoro”. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, and zebras can all be seen year-round as well as many different bird species. Only a few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed.
Later proceed back to Arusha in the evening. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.
Day 11: Arusha to Kilimanjaro, Mandara hut
On the first day, you have to drive about 2 hrs through Kilimanjaro in the morning the semi-tropical foothills to the Marangu area which situated on the south-eastern side of the mountain. On arrival at Marangu gate, you meet your team of guides and porters, pick up any last-minute supplies for the trek, and head to the entrance of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park to register for the climb. From the cluster of buildings at the gate, it is some four to five hours walk through patches of coffee plantation and dense rainforest to Mandara Hut. Overnight stay at Venice Hotel.
Day 12: Arusha to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight back home
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be taken to the Arusha city tour walk for your African Safari. Then after lunch, you will be transferred to the airport ready to boarding your home outbound flight.
