Great Serengeti wildebeest migration is the movement of vast numbers of the Serengeti’s wildebeest. Accompanied by large numbers of zebra, and smaller numbers of Grant’s gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle, eland and impala. These move in an annual pattern which is fairly predictable.

Our five-day Serengeti Great Migration Safari takes you into the northern, western or southern Serengeti depending on location of the Serengeti Great Migration Safari at the time and offers the best chance of seeing death-defying leaps and heart-wrenching near misses as you spend multiple nights and days in the world-famous Serengeti National Park. It is one of the most comprehensive and appealing presentations of nature, conservation, and research in general. Every day, hundreds of nature lovers and tourists from all over the world visit it.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

One of the world’s breathtaking natural wonders with a breathtaking setting. One of the places to see the Big Five. Ngorongoro is a haven for approximately 25,000 animals and around 400 different bird species. You can find a good population of black manned lions that trail the grasslands, robust herds of wildebeests along with endangered black rhino, zebras, hyenas, and leopards.

August and September are the best times to see the great migration — and your chances of witnessing a river crossing are generally much higher. Come early October, the rainy season in Tanzania will commence.  And the herds will embark on their return journey back to the Serengeti.
