14 Days (Two Weeks) Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Beach Itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha

Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Relax, take a stroll, and enjoy the sights and sounds. Get plenty of rest – tomorrow will be huge! Dinner and Overnight at ilboru Safari lodge.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

The day starts with a hearty breakfast and briefing with your tour guide. From Arusha, we drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park covers 330 sq. km, 70% of which is occupied by the lake. The varied ecosystem consists of groundwater forests, acacia woodland, and open grassland along the lakeshore and sustains a wealth of wildlife, including the Big Five -lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo. The park is famous for the elusive tree-climbing lions that inhabit the woodland between the lake and the Rift Valley. It is also an ornithologists’ paradise and is host to over 400 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at Kitela Lodges.

Day 3:  Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is home to a staggering 1.6 million animals that have been recorded moving through the park. We will do the game drive until 1 pm when we break for lunch. After eating, there’s time for a little rest (perhaps a quick nap), then we’re back out on the plain looking for the more big games. We follow the trail of the migrating wildebeest through the afternoon, then venture back to the campsite for dinner and overnight at Katikati Tented Camp.

Day 4: Serengeti Central Areas

Your day will start with the charm of birds in the Africa savanna. When you are ready you will be served an African breakfast. And after that, you will start your full-day game drive in the famous Serengeti with your family for adventure safari holidays. Around 1230 and 1300 break for your lunch. After lunch has a rest for one hr, then proceed with your game viewing following the move of the migrants on the southwest of the park. Approx1.3 million wildebeest, 250,000 gazelles, and 200,000 Zebras have been recorded sharing the short grass/ water which is the source of food for the millions of animals in the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Katikati Tented Camp.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After early in morning breakfast you will have early in the morning Tanzania Northern Circuit Safaris game drive later you will back to the campsite to have an early hot lunch, our driver and chef will load everything on top of our safari jeep and you will continue with game viewing en-route during your way from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater. You will be in Ngorongoro Crater late in the evening where the night will be spent on the crater rim. After lunch, we keep exploring the Ngorongoro crater, venturing right up to the rim for Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Tarangire

This day we will start early morning at 07:00 for the game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater for 5-6hrs. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. After great all exploration in Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight., where we spend the night at Kitela Lodge.

Day 7: Tarangire National Park – Arusha

We save the best for last. After breakfast, we embark on our final game drive through the Tarangire National Park. African elephants – the world’s biggest mammals – are very common in this area. After a full day of exploring Tarangire, Later in the afternoon, we head back to Arusha for Dinner and overnight at ilboru Safari lodge.

Day 8: Arusha – Arusha National Park

You will depart from Arusha Town in the morning with your private guide and travel to Arusha National Park, it’s only a short 40-minute drive from Arusha Town. Your day trip includes a visit to the Ngurdoto Crater which is well known as the “Little Ngorongoro”.

After a delicious picnic lunch, you will continue your Tanzania safari package within the Arusha National Park. After plenty of time observing the wildlife, you will return to Arusha where your safari ends. Day 9: Arusha to Zanzibar – Tanzania Family Adventure Safari

You will depart Arusha at 12:00hrs and head to the Airport for a flight to Zanzibar arrive at 16:00hrs. On arrival, our driver will be there waiting for you to pick you up and transfer you to the Hotel –  Beach.

Day 10 – 14: Full leisure days in Zanzibar

When in Zanzibar there is a lot of activities. You can do in Stone Town for a full-day Spice and a prison Island tour. The full-day tour will take you to the most scenic parts of the Old Town. This culturally rich town got its name from the use of coral stone as the main construction ingredient. Starting from the House of Wonders which is one of the prominent landmarks of Stone Town. Proceed on to the Palace Museum which was a Sultan’s residence. The Arab Fort, the Dr. Livingstone House, Fred Mercury’s home, and the pub and Hamamni Persian baths are just a few of the many attractions in this relic of a town.

On the last day, we will drop off at the airport!
